Need & Challenge

Dyslexia
Dyslexia is a common, neurobiological, language-based learning challenge characterized by difficulties with accurate word recognition, decoding, spelling, and reading fluency, that effects 20% of the population.
Nearly all people with Dyslexia are highly intelligent and once they master reading skills can be highly successful.
Unfortunately Dyslexic individuals may face significant stress and low self-image, but can excel with appropriate, tailored, early instruction.

ADHD
Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a common neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by persistent patterns of inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity that interfere with functioning.
ADHD is often treated with a combination of diet management for brain nutrition, behavior therapy to manage symptoms like poor organization, restlessness, and forgetfulness, and medication.

Autism
Autism, or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), is a neurodevelopmental condition affecting social interaction, communication, and behavior.
It is characterized by diverse strengths and challenges, including restricted, repetitive behaviors and sensory sensitivities, with symptoms appearing early in childhood.
It is now considered a single spectrum (ASD) reflecting wide variations in support needs.

Tutoring

Tutoring
LOLS’ one-on-one Tutoring includes:
Neuro-Reflex Integration: Reflexes are automatic movements that help infants with development, growth, and survival, but when not integrated are carried over into later life, causing developmental delays. Rhythmic movement exercises are used to help students integrate their reflexes.
Brain Exercises: Using the Processing and Cognitive Enhancement (PACE) program, students gain processing speed, working memory, visual and auditory processing, and attention competence.
Reading, Spelling and Writing Instruction: Using systematic, multi-sensory, Orton-Gillingham based reading and spelling instruction, students with dyslexia or other reading delays can make rapid progress.
Math Instruction: Multi-sensory, researched based, individualized math instruction taught in a way the neurodiverse student learns.
